Evolution of Co-Authors Communities Formed by Terms on DBLP

چکیده
The DBLP Computer Science Bibliography server provides bibliographic information on major computer science journals and proceedings. DBLP indexes more than 2.1 million articles and contains titles of articles, their authors, years of publication etc. Downloadable DBLP dataset is very interesting resource for evolution analysis of co-author networks. The paper deals with subgraphs of the authors from DBLP with common interests. The common interest of the authors is defined by terms, which are extracted from the titles of articles. The subgraphs are extracted for each year separately based on the published years. These subgraphs represent the communities of co-authors, for which is observed their development in time. That new view of these communities of the co-authors offer a new way for analysis and measurement of article datasets.

K-cores in Time-evolving Co-authorship Graphs: A Case Study on DBLP
A k-core of a graph is a maximal subgraph whose nodes have degree at least k in that subgraph. A node can appear in multiple k-cores. The core number of a node is the largest k among its k-cores. The degeneracy of a graph is the maximum core number among its nodes. Applications of k-cores and core numbers are numerous, including community detection and modeling spread on a network. We present a...
متن کاملDetecting communities of workforces for the multi-skill resource-constrained project scheduling problem: A dandelion solution approach
This paper proposes a new mixed-integer model for the multi-skill resource-constrained project scheduling problem (MSRCPSP). The interactions between workers are represented as undirected networks. Therefore, for each required skill, an undirected network is formed which shows the relations of human resources. In this paper, community detection in networks is used to find the most compatible wo...
متن کاملUncovering the Mechanisms of Co-Authorship Network Evolution by Multirelations- Based Link Prediction
Introduction and literature review Co-authorship network, a proxy of research collaboration, reveals the collaboration patterns and the determining factors through social network analysis perspective, with nodes representing authors and links representing co-authorships (Ortega, 2014; Yan & Ding, 2009). If we know what mechanisms push the evolution of coauthorship network, we could predict whic...
متن کاملUsing Virtual Social Networks and Social Tolerance among Youths in Tehran
Difference and diversity are phenomena existing from the very first days human communities have been formed. Under such condition, what provides for necessity of coexistence between different individuals and groups to become possible is tolerance. On the other hand, wide range development in terms of communication and providing information are going on in today’s world. This evolution called by...
متن کاملEstablishing Knowledge Networks via Analysis of Research Abstracts
The extraction and propagation of knowledge inherent in a social network environment is demanding higher significance in research. The knowledge hidden within a social network would be easier to be comprehended if provided in a collective form. In the field of scientific research, such presentation of appreciated knowledge evolved from research communities would aid researchers. In this paper, ...
